I’m too Stubborn to Properly Promote my Blog
May 24th, 2007 by Brian
- Leaving comments in other blogs: If I think a blog sucks, all the referrals in the world couldn’t get me to leave a comment. I think 99% of all blogs suck so it stands to reason that I don’t comment much.
- Leaving “Hey! I read your blog, come check out mine!”comments on MyBlogLog: This makes me feel dirty. I equate it to those guys in Vegas who hand you advertisements for hookers as you walk down the street.
- Joining the maximum amount of communities on MyBlogLog: When I get a comment from someone who has joined 2000+ communities I make it a point never to read their blog. Do the math. To read 2000 blogs you would have to read 66 blogs per day for a month. Nobody is reading that many fucking blogs so don’t pretend like you do.
I’m quite happy with and appreciative of the handful of new readers who come here and read my nonsense each week. I could get more if I applied myself, I suppose.

That is so true.. LOL!
“On average, there are only seven readers for each of the 12.5 million blogs on LiveJournal, one of the most popular services for hosting these online journals. ”

I don’t feel so bad now that I only get about 10 readers a day, actually puts me ahead of the curve
