On Sunday evening one of my friends said of Settlers of Catan (and I’ll probably slightly misquote this since it’s from memory.)

If you take Monopoly, strip away the tedious manner in which players are eliminated one by one, remove the running around in circles, and make it possible to actually finish the game in a reasonable amount of time…you would have Settlers of Catan.

In other words, it’s a terrific board game and I’m hoping it will be a terrific Xbox 360 game.
