Posting from a Garbage Skow

It’s been an interesting couple days here at work. Last Wednesday my laptop died. Last Thursday I spent all day trying to fix it and failed. Last Friday our IT coordinator was fired. She wasn’t fired for my computer crashing; that was just a bad coincidence. I actually feel bad for her. It was one of those firings that nobody expected. I’m glad I took last Friday off as there were probably some tears around here (she had a lot of friends.)

But none of that changed the fact that I was still computer-less at my office desk (I have a lab desk too, which is where I was getting online earlier this week.) Yesterday I was assigned a dusty windows 2000 machine packing a halfway decent processor but only 120 mb of ram. If that weren’t bad enough, there’s an unbalanced exhaust fan somewhere in the basement (right below my office) that’s causing a vibration that’s resonating through the building’s pipes. Everything in my fucking office is vibrating at a low frequency. I can feel it on the soles of my feet and on every item that’s connected to the floor.

So what does this have to do with you? It means I can’t think straight for long enough to write a worthy post.

Oh well…in the meantime can you guess who directed this Playstation 2 commercial?
