In no particular order

  • Planet Express from Futurama
  • Mom’s Robot Company from Futurama
  • Acme from Looney Toons
  • The Daily Bugle from Spider Man
  • Venture Industries from The Venture Brothers
  • COBRA from G.I. Joe (they were technically a corporation. They had a building in New York for christssakes.)
  • Cyberdyne Systems from The Terminator
  • Weyland-Yutani Corporation from Aliens
  • Blammo, makers of Log from Ren and Stimpy
  • Actually, this post was just to verify that the new version of wordpress is up and running smoothly. Under the older version, for some reason, I was unable to embed YouTube videos without b0rking my whole layout. I think the “shit-o-matic” rich text editor was causing that to happen. Looks like that’s been fixed.

Actually, the Cobra building in New York was their consulate building, not corporate. See, Cobra tricked the US into dropping a bunch of bombs on a fault line in the Gulf of Mexico, which resulted in a new landmass rising to the surface, which they were able to establish sovereignty over before the Joes could kick them off. So Cobra was an actual nation, not a corporation, and they had the Cobra Consulate Building in NY. Now, they did own a couple of front companies- the anagrammatical ArbCo, and Extensive Enterprises.

Two of my favorite fictional companies:
Yoyodyne Propulsion Systems (from Buckaroo Banzai) and
    Universal Exports (from James Bond).
