What percentage of my college education do I actually use?
February 7th, 2007 by Brian
My best guess puts it at around 20%. Many of the laboratory methods I learned are either archaic or don’t apply to my current job. I learned general lab procedure more from my first job than I did from anything I did in college (1996-2000.)
I’m putting this post in as more of a teaser, as I want to expand on this tomorrow. Earlier today I was working on something in the lab and trying to figure out how many of my college classes were actually worth the time I put in. I finally settled on “three.”
Tune in tomorrow, I’ll make it a good one.
