How to make a refrigerator out of clay pots and sand.

I always thought that this would be a really neat thing to have out on my patio during the summer months. I’m not sure how well it would work in the humid air of the midwest but since I don’t have a yard, deck, patio, porch, or even a gazebo it’s really a moot point.
First you must obtain two clay pots of different sizes. One must be able to be placed inside the other with some space in-between. Next, fill the space in between the pots with wet sand. Pack it as tight as you want as long as it’s wet.
All you have to do now is put some fruit or a few beverages in there and cover the top with a thick, wet cloth. Left out in the sun on a hot day the evaporative cooling caused by the wet sand will suck the heat right out of the inner chamber. Whatever you put in there will be slightly cold. Hooray!

before i loged into yuor website i had a simillar idea you have about building a clay refrigerator. the principle is right but the problem now is how do make a clay freazer without electricity please if you are working on this, thruogh e-mail adress let me know. thanks.
There is no way to make a clay freezer without electricity. If I knew such a way I obviously wouldn’t tell anyone.
